I like taking pictures

Troy and I attempted tonight to take some pictures of our girlies for Mother's Day. It didn't turn out as planned, but was rather entertaining. You think we would know that it's not the easiest to take pictures of a two-year-old and newborn just before bedtime!

This first picture is for my parents and family. It's Annika making the same face I do when looking in the mirror. At least that's what they all tell me I do. Still don't buy it.

Cute Olivia standing on top of a table so we could get the buildings in the background. She was thrilled to be doing something so naughty.

The one and only pose she held for longer than 5 seconds...

"Who, Me? I'm so innocent."

Daddy finally embracing the chaos with Olivia.

Mmmm. Yummy baby. Mommy contemplating nibbling Annika's little ear.

This is one lucky girl. Once she gets moved out of Mom and Dad's room and into her own, she gets to have  the most incredible view out her window at night. For now, her Mama enjoys it as she wanders the halls after night time feedings.

(We think this baby is gorgeous, by the way.)

If you look close, you can see Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer.

It was just an ordinary day. We were doing what we normally do. You know, things such as rearranging cards and envelopes...

sleeping...

making crazy faces at mom...

staring at precious baby toes...

...and then it happened. Out of the corner of her eye, Mommy spotted the most evil abomination crawling across the balcony where Olivia was playing. It was a cockroach. Two inches long. Pure nastiness. Mom screamed. Olivia screamed. Annika screamed. And the door to the balcony was slammed shut. About 15 minutes later, and several phone calls to Daddy, all the women in the house calmed down.

Olivia decided to document the occasion with pictures of the big "spider." That's what she called it. It went "creepy, creepy," she said. And then when Daddy came home, she asked him to put it in a bag and dump it down the trash shoot.

Smart girl!

"See Mom, it was a big spider."

Easter Party

Olivia, Annika and I are part of a fantastic playgroup with all the women and kiddos in our ward. Some of the wonderful women in the group hosted an Easter party and egg hunt for the kiddos. Was an absolute blast! Livvy kept telling me, "Mom, that was fun. Happy Easter egg."
